Countdown
Yeah.
One month from now we'll all be curse-and-swearing the damn MCQ that made us wait for so many days before finally coming.
And that will also mark the end (almost) of our journey together as a class.
But like what I wrote on some of the autograph thingy, we're not really parting actually...
Even if some of us were to be enlisted for NS, while others pursue their education elsewhere on this planet, we're still one click away. (Don't tell me any of you going to Africa)
Hmmm. My brother was telling me the other time round that he came across the website (yes, he's ancient) that his JC class once shared 10 years ago, and the last post was on a 1998 day.
Will blogspot clear away our account because it's inactive? I hope it won't be.
Or maybe we can still constantly update on our life? Places we've gone? Things that we did? Or even post a wedding invitation here! Just to keep this place alive.
Though there isn't much memories that we have here, at least it's the most accessible thing, arguably second only to our brain, that we can look back into and laugh at.
But then again, considering the fact that it's already long dead before we've even graduated, I doubt there's any chance for it to come back alive; the golden period for CPR seems to have past...
Wellz, last thoughts/words anybody?
Monday, October 12
Revive; Like what we all ought to do now.
You know, when the last post was god-knows-how-long ago, and when people happen to pop by, it's always a pleasant surprise to see the dead blog revived. Someone has to do it.
or maybe it shouldn't come to be a surprise, since us weirdos are always prone to blog when we're not supposed to.
And ya, you aren't even supposed to be reading this.
YOU SHOULD BE MUGGING!!!
Oh well, maybe ten years down the road, this last one month of struggle will seem meaningless;
some of us may be happily building up a small family of his/her own, others may be fighting hard to earn big money, while some may just decide to give up everything and disappear to live a life that many can only dream of. Whichever path you choose to take, the next month or so seem to be of little significance.
5 years down the road, some of us, especially the girls, will most probably be working somewhere whether you like it or not; while the boys will be struggling with projects and girlfriends. Either way, the next 1month will merely decide if you will love what you will be doing which i guess less than half of us are even sure of up to this point.
Who cares, just accept whatever card dealt to you in life!
What's the point to slog our ass out now when there's always alternative route(s) to achieve things we want in life?! Let nature takes its own course.
Even if we imagine our lives 3years, 2years or even 1year later, how much will we necessarily be affected by what we do in the next 1 month or so? No matter what, life will still go on! So what if we end up only having 4Cs in As? The rich ones can always beg their daddy to pay for their overseas university fees while the poor ones can exchange a few years of youth to work and earn the money required. Life won't change much even if we fail to meet our own expectations. True enough, directions in life will be veered off-course, sadness or even depression will set in for a while, but the world won't stop because of you! Friends will still stay on, family will still cheer you on, and life will still go on.
So, it's not actually that bad to just enjoy life for the next one month or so, take things in your stride and not be so stressed up over the A'levels; it's just a hurdle in life that we have to cross. Even if we do trip over the obstacle, we can always pick ourselves up again and move on; the race doesn't stop when one falls.
By the way, the fact that you have read thus far already mean that you've wasted some time off studying, so, might as well take more time off and take a chill pill: sign in to MSN and talk to a few of your friends that you might not get to see so often anymore in future (i.e. your classmates) or just Goggle around or go to Mr. Brown's website to watch some of his hilarious spoofs or take out your favorite HK drama and watch your favorite episode or log on to YouTube to catch some recent updates or go to Facebook and play some retarded games!
If these had been the things that you've been wanting to do but are unable to do them because you don't have the courage for fear of flunking your A'levels, you are missing out a lot of life that you should be enjoying! So, go on!
Ciao.
But wait. Aren't we already doing a lot of what we've been wanting to do? MSN, YouTube, TV, Soccer, Internet, stoning... Are you sure you've completely given up on all these even during this crucial period?
Did I just succeed in giving you the illusion that what you had wanted to do is right? L.
Do you really believed me that what we want to do in the next 1year, 2years, 3years, 5years or even 10years have got nothing to do with what we decide to do and how much we want to do them in the next 1 month?
Can you really bear the amount of hatred on yourself that you will have when get back your results next year with 4Cs?
Can you really convince yourself out of the guilt and regret that you'll be feeling?
Do you even in the first place KNOW what sort of emotions you will be feeling if the day when you fail miserably in one of the most important event of your life comes?
Insanity.
True, life will still go on. But how you wanna direct your journey in life very much depend on how much effort you wanna put in to your studies in the next one month or so. We are no poly students, we don't have a Diploma; if we fail in the exam that is to come in one month's time, all we are left with, for most of us, is a useless O'level and/or PSLE cert that many others are capable of producing on the street.
Whether or not you've dreamed of having 4As in the A'levels, it will still be a pity if you didn't perform up to expectations; expectations not only from yourself, but from the friends around you, your teachers, your peers, your parents... Who will be the saddest when we fail to excel in the route we'd chosen to take two years ago? It may not necessarily be you yourself, but probably all those that had seen you grown and had been trusting you to perform.
It will be an even greater pity if you've been trying so hard to keep up with school work, to understand the lectures, keep yourself awake in tutorials, paid a bomb for tuitions, giving up some form of social life, neglecting your parents, forgetting certain lifelong friends and forgoing many hours of sleep, only to tell yourself you can't do it when what is left is but a one short month. Go on, Press on, and hold on.
Revive the mindset of achieving excellence within you, revive the discipline that challenges you, revive the eagerness and desperation that motivates you and revive the studious heart in you; at least for the next one month or so.
That is what we all ought to do now.
What defines a function; how to show that a wave is stationary; does equity conflicts with monetary policies? If you still can't answer every questions that you can possibly think of yourselves, there is still much more for you to study! MUGGGGGGG!!!!!~~~~~~
PS: I am having insomnia, so kinda bored. In case you're blaming me for wasting your time, I spent 2 hours writing this. LOL.
Ciao.
You know, when the last time you had an urge to study was god-knows-how-long ago, and when you come to realize, it's always a pleasant surprise to have the dead engine revived. Someone has to push you forward and pull you along.
or maybe it shouldn't come to be a surprise, since friends are always there to help you even when they're not supposed to.
And ya, you are supposed to be doing it to someone whom you regard as friend too!
